Why FTSG
A clear path, not a programme to survive
CovenantLight exists to help people find true peace and fulfil their purpose in God through the knowledge of His love — by precept and by example. FTSG is how that happens in practice: four months that take you from the foundation to the frontline, walked with others rather than alone.
Grounded in the Word
You get a foundation
The journey begins in the New Testament Letters — the apostolic teaching that shapes the Christian life — carried by a daily rhythm of Scripture and prayer.
Clear on your calling
You get direction
Discover what you are made and sent for, and be shaped in the character able to carry it. Calling gives the direction; character gives the person.
Settled in Christ
You stop striving
Identity before behaviour, grace before response. You learn to live from who you already are in Christ rather than working to earn it.
Equipped to serve
You are sent
The journey ends where it should. Finishing FTSG is the doorway into the core — the workers who serve on the ministry teams and carry the life of the community.
The journey
Four modules, taken in order
One module a month, each building on the last. Short online exams keep you on track as you go — and all four modules together earn the single FTSG certificate.
Master of the Letters
Breathe month
Draw near to God in prayer, and let His Word lay the foundation. A month in the New Testament Letters — Romans to Revelation — the apostolic teaching that shapes the Christian life.

How it works
A weekly rhythm you can actually keep
The teaching is spread across the week, not crammed into one session. You are carried through the month rather than left to catch up.
Sunday opens the week
Each week begins with a Sunday teaching that opens the week's topic.
Master of the Letters runs the reverse rhythm — Sundays are given to corporate prayer.
Weekday devotions carry it deeper
The devotions through the week take the Sunday teaching further and make it daily.
Short exams keep you on track
Exams are online and self-paced — some run weekly, others close a module. When you are ready, you log in, select it, and sit it. The result is recorded automatically.
Four modules earn the certificate
Complete all four and you earn the single FTSG certificate — and step into the core.
Coming in
How people join a cohort
FTSG runs one cohort per cycle, three times a year. Newcomers move through the season before they begin.
- Step 1
Invited
During Bless & Bring, someone blesses you and invites you.
- Step 2
Gathered
During Bridge, you come and meet the community.
- Step 3
Signed up
During Bond & Build, you sign up for the next cohort.
- Step 4
Begin together
At the next Breathe, the whole cohort starts as one.
The next cohort starts together
One sign-up covers all four modules. No cost, no account to create.
The FTSG assessment platform
FTSG exams run online — some weekly, some closing a module. The platform that runs them is being built now: automatically graded, and issuing the certificate the moment you have passed everything the journey asks of you.
Auto-graded exams
One hour per module, self-paced. Log in when you are ready, pick your module, and your result is recorded automatically.
Organised by cohort and module
Your exams and results sit against your cohort, so your progress through all four modules is in one place.
Verifiable certificates
Pass all four and download the single FTSG certificate — publicly verifiable, so it can be checked by anyone you show it to.
Certification
One certificate, and a door
Completing all four modules earns the single FTSG certificate. But the certificate is not the point — finishing is the doorway into the core: the workers who serve on the ministry teams and carry the life of the community.

Questions
Before you sign up
How much does FTSG cost?
Nothing. FTSG is free, and it always will be.
How long does the whole journey take?
Four months — one module a month, taken in order. A new cohort begins three times a year.
Do I have to take the modules in order?
Yes. Each module builds on the one before it, and the cohort moves through them together, beginning with Master of the Letters.
What are the exams like?
Short and online. Some exams run weekly and others close a module, and they are self-paced — when you are ready, you log in, select the exam, and sit it. The result is recorded automatically.
What happens when I finish?
Completing all four modules earns the single FTSG certificate, and is the doorway into the core — the workers who serve on the ministry teams.
Do I need to be a member of CovenantLight?
No. FTSG is open to anyone who wants to walk the journey, whether or not you are already part of a CovenantLight love community.
How much time does it take each week?
A Sunday teaching opens the week, and the weekday devotions carry it deeper. It is built as a rhythm you can keep alongside ordinary life, not a second job.
